Lighting the Beacon

All across the country, Beacons will be lit at 9.45pm to celebrate the Queens' Platinum Jubilee.

Queen's Platinum Jubilee Beacon Tart

Wix Parish Council will be serving Jubilee Beacon Tarts, a special tart that has been invented to celebrate the occasion. It contains produce from each of the four countries of the United Kingdom.

• England - cheddar cheese
• Scotland - smoked salmon
• Northern Ireland - potatoes
• Wales - Leek

Toasting the Queen

As the beacon is lit we will be providing a complimentary glass (plastic) of bucks fizz or orange juice to toast Her Majesty.

Village Photo

Conditions permitting, we are hoping to take a village photo from the air, so come along  with your jubilee garb so that we can make it a jolly picture! Wix Parish Council will have some flags and glow-sticks for children available.
